La banda de rap-metal Prophets of Rage, conformada por integrantes de Cypress Hill, Public Enemy y Rage Against The Machine, anunciaron su separación, después de que se informara el regreso de RATM en 2020.
A manera de despedida, los integrantes de Public Enemy, Chuck D, y B-Real de Cypress Hill, publicaron en sus redes sociales el agradecimiento por el tiempo que estuvieron juntos como banda a lado de Tom Morello, Brad Wilk y Tim Commerford, miembros de Rage Against The Machine (RATM) que se reunirán el año próximo junto a su vocalista Zack de la Rocha.
“2020 mantener caliente a ZDLR para @RATM y potenciar una declaración durante 1000 días fue una misión de verdad honorable en las horas de caos desde el salto … Y así las bandas rockearon … Vámonos”, publicó Chuck D.
Mientras B-Real hizo lo propio en su cuenta: “Ha sido un honor para los escenarios de rock y personas de todas las edades con estos chicos. Ha sido un gran momento y grandes recuerdos en poco tiempo”.
Agregó que “rockear junto a Chuck y Tom ha sido increíble por decir lo menos. Fue divertido mientras duró y espero que hayamos dejado una gran impresión y que la música haya sido una fuente de inspiración para aquellos que la necesitaban”.
Prophets of Rage, fundada en 2016, durante su periodo activo logró lanzar un álbum de estudio y un EP, con giras por Sudamérica y Europa. también estuvo en México durante el festival Vive Latino en 2017.
